ULSC Uplink Sync Control

There are various delays from different terminals to the Node B. The terminal can utilize Time Advance (TA) to eliminate the delay when transmits the signal. Exact synchronization can improve the effect of Joint Detection dramatically.

Strict synchronizations between NodeBs, between NodeB and terminals are adopted by TD-SCDMA. Especially for Uplink Synchronization, the precision reaches to 1/8 chip rate. Strict synchronization decreases Inter Symbol Interference (ISI) and Multiple Access Interference (MAI), and provides a simple method for UE position. Moreover, the technology is easy for implementation of Smart Antenna.
